Community Plant Sharing
Context
Plants are beautiful, good for your health and key to tackling the climate crisis. But plants can be expensive, hard to find and transport. Commercial growing uses a lot of energy and water. They often travel a long way, increasing their carbon footprint.
Helping people share plants locally, will improve the local environment. It will also help people on lower incomes, or those without a car to grow plants. Connecting local people helps to build community and tackle loneliness.
Next Steps
I hope to organise a plant sale/share later this year and provide some basic information to improve plant sharing online.
