In a previous post I explained that London has lots of SINCs - not a spelling mistake, but an acronym for Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation. SINCs for short. So PINC is an acronym for Person of Importance for Nature Conservation. PINC for short!

Someone that cares deeply about nature, biodiversity, wildlife, environmental health and resilience any of these things that reflect our understanding of the world we live in and our place in it.

PINC because you do something about it: volunteer for a friend's of group, donate to your local community garden, grow pollinator plants in your garden, talk to friends about the development causing you concern.

PINC because you live next to a SINC and walk through it everyday, you know it better then anywhere else.

PINC because you act as a wealth of knowledge to friends who know less on botany, bugs and birds.

Anyone can be PINC.
